OUR SCHOOL

Saint Brigid's National School, Ticknevin is a mixed primary school, catering for children aged between 4 and 12 years. It is situated over the bridge in Ticknevin and enjoys a lovely rural setting near the banks of the canal with plenty of space for the children to play, explore and grow.

Our patron is the bishop of Kildare and Leighlin and Saint Brigid's NS promotes the Catholic ethos, encouraging children to develop fully intellectually, physically, emotionally, spiritually and morally.

Outside, the school enjoys the use of a football pitch, soft surface with basketball hoops, school garden and play area. The children take part in a wide variety of sports and activities including tag rugby, swimming, GAA, Easter Egg hunts.

The greatest asset to the school is the community in which it is situated. We encourage the community of parents, pupils, staff and the wider community to work together to enhance the life of the school and the experience of the pupils who attend.
