Active School Slogan
This year the pupils of St. Brigid’s worked very hard to come up with an Active School slogan for our school.

Here is what we came up with: Inside, outside we don't care, we get active everywhere!Well done to 2nd class on winning the competition.

Active School Notice Board
In our school we have an Active School notice board. This board informs the pupils, staff and parents about how St. Brigid’s is an Active school.

We have an Active Achievements wall where all of the pupils’ active achievements are displayed.

There is also lots of information about how to stay fit and healthy.

School/community links

Edenderry Swimming Pool
Pupils in St. Brigid’s are offered swimming lessons every year. We work with Edenderry swimming pool to deliver an aquatics programme suitable for each class standard.

Tag Rugby
Pupils from 2 nd to 6 th class are offered Tag Rugby lessons with Edenderry Rugby Club for a period of 4 weeks.

G.A.A
All children in our school participate in hurling and football lessons. We are very lucky to be able to work with Carbury G.A.A Club.

During lockdown the children participated in live lessons with Kildare G.A.A. The children really enjoyed this.

Cross Country
Our school participates in a cross country competition annually in Hawkfield G.A.A Club.
